Specifying Files

Discussion:

This page concerns specifying which files CVS should operate on and where it should put them. For example, the modules file and the -d option to get.

The -l option in the modules file does not seem to affect the CVS rtag the way it should. Here is a patch.

Here is a patch to make the rdiff command respect "!" in the modules file the way that "cvs get" already does.

The "cvs get -d ." command has some problems.

If one defines a module which specifies -d in the modules file and also includes two modules with &, then CVS will abort with the error "modules file missing directory for module". Here is a patch for what would appear to be the same bug.

If one specifies a directory for the file field of a regular module, CVS seems to get confused.
