Programming PerlThe book Programming Perl, second edition, 1996, by Larry Wall (Editor), Tom Christiansen and Randal L. Schwartz, is better known as the Camel Book. It covers the perl scripting language, including its syntax, functions, library modules, references, and object-oriented features. It also explores invocation options, debugging, common mistakes and much more. Knowing some programming language is recommended before reading this book and it may help to know some perl too. For example, the book does not have extensive examples. Errata: There are some errata at perl.com. |
