The FAQ-O-Matic uses RCS rather than CVS, but is
a good example of the kind of web interface which
it would be nice to have for CVS, for some
purposes. It is designed for files which contain
lists of questions and answers, rather than
arbitrary files.
As of version 2.3b10 and later, FAQ-O-Matic is
under the GNU General Public License.
FAQ-O-Matic Versions
We recommend FAQ-O-Matic version 2. Version 2
adds a vast number of features compared to version
1 (like new ways to control who can edit the
document, more ways to reorder questions, and more
ways to show what has changed in the document
recently). It also cleans up quite a few quirks
(for example, version 1 seems to be very picky
about which browsers can edit questions, and it
doesn't cope very well when people edit answers
which contain "<" or ">"). For more detailed
lists of versions and what has changed, see the
FAQ-O-Matic FAQ-O-Matic mentioned below.
