Bonsai/Tinderbox

The Bonsai package lets users get information about a CVS repository with a web browser. The Tinderbox package keeps track of builds.

Bonsai focuses on the questions: What changed from release X to release Y? What changed between a given successful build and a build that failed? and so on. Tinderbox focuses on the questions: What succeeded? What failed? It lets you do things like browse the logs from the builds.

Where to Get Bonsai/Tinderbox:

  • You can download the Tinderbox and the Bonsai source from Mozilla. Note that it is not nicely packaged and will take significant effort to get working at your site. Requirements include a SQL database, and perl and tcl with SQL. See the INSTALL file in the Bonsai sources for a detailed list of requirements.
