Project Revision Control System (PRCS)

Project Revision Control System (PRCS)

PRCS is a simplified directory tree project oriented revision control system.

PRCS lets one choose merge and diff tools. One can select different tools for each individual file.

PRCS supports selection of merge default rules on an individual file basis, similar to the selection of merge and diff tools. One could, for example, define a group of binary files which have their merge tool modified to select a copy instead of a merge, or to regenerate the file based on some input.

Mailing lists and newsgroups

There is a mailing list devoted to discussion of PRCS. For details see Josh Macdonald's page below.

The newsgroup for PRCS (and other version control systems) is comp.software.config-mgmt.

Getting PRCS

PRCS is part of Cyclic Gallery for Linux.
