Cyclic Privacy Policies

Cyclic's web servers recognize the machine of visitors, but not their e-mail addresses. Data on visitors' machines may be aggregated. The aggregates are kept but the records of individual accesses are discarded after several months.

The names of persons who request information about Cyclic, and the content of any contacts, are kept but we do not use this information for mass mailing. Any future contact will be manually tailored to the recipient.

Cyclic maintains internet mailing lists which necessarily involves collecting email addresses. Cyclic does not use these addresses for mailings outside the charter or purpose of the list, nor do we rent, sell or trade these lists.

We sell books in association with Amazon.com. To take your order, they require customer information, including an email address, and by default they will send advertisements to that email address. If you don't want this, after ordering send mail to no-news-a@amazon.com. The first line of your mail should be "unsubscribe" and the email address that you want removed should be on the next line.

We also sell products via Fatbrain.com, Linux Mall and Netsales. They set their policies but please let us know if you have any concerns about inappropriate use of information they collected for Cyclic.
