Email blocking and spam
Unsolicited bulk email, commonly known as spam, is a large problem and at Cyclic we are trying to limit our intake. If your message bounces with an error like "550 Access denied", we may be denying mail from your site. If you believe that you have gotten this message in error, please contact us via other means so that we can straighten things out.
If you are on any of the following blocking lists, you are in danger of having your mail blocked (from Cyclic and other sites):
- RBL (blocks open relays and sites which are neutral or friendly towards spam)
- ORBS (blocks open relays)
- Radparker (blocks open relays)
- DUL (blocks mail sent directly from a dial-up; usually not an issue as a dial-up user will generally send mail through a mail server where they have an account).
