Cyclic Software

Since 1995, Cyclic Software has been involved with the CVS version control system. We have ported CVS to diverse operating systems, added features, fixed bugs and been a focal point for collaboration with other CVS developers. In addition, we are involved with other free software packages for programmers and web authors.

Why "Cyclic"?

Cyclic because:

• Real software exists in a cycle of revision; we make the software free because we want it to live out its life cycle in the hands of the public.
• We want to be in the "Cygnus clique" of successful free software companies.

About our web server

These pages are served by Apache running on Red Hat Linux. We use CVS itself to maintain the pages because just as software authors need a way to coordinate edits, so do web page authors. For details see our page on CVS and the web.
