CVS bug reports, problems, and discussions

Users Groups (newsgroups, etc)

If you think you have found a bug in CVS, or have some other CVS issue to discuss, one option is to turn to mailing lists and newsgroups (in which users help each other). See the CVS lists (or, for programs other than CVS, see the Cyclic Gallery pages, for example Getting Help with GCC).

Paid Support

We maintain a list of CVS Consultants who can provide a variety of CVS services for you.

Documentation

Many questions are answered in the CVS Documentation. We also have a page of Known Bugs in CVS. Or see the Cyclic Gallery pages for programs other than CVS.

Reporting Bugs

It is also possible to report bugs to bug-cvs. Note that someone may or may not want to do anything with your bug report---if you need a solution consider one of the options mentioned above. People probably do want to hear about bugs which are particularly severe in consequences and/or easy to fix, however. The way to report bugs is to send email to bug-cvs@gnu.org. Note that submissions to bug-cvs may be distributed under the terms of the GNU Public License, so if you don't like this, don't submit them. Or see the Cyclic Gallery pages for programs other than CVS.
